Abstract:
This talk introduces two effective tools used in rendering: Lightcuts and Spherical Harmonics (SH). I outline an extension of the Lightcuts framework: the hierarchical GPU light clustering. Similarly, I present an improved version of SH, in order to project and reconstruct visibility information.

Finally, I show a system using both techniques - exploiting simultaneously multi-core CPUs and GPU.
